Memorization Mania with Joz Vammer — Tuesday, June 16th at 7 pm
Are you jealous of how some people seem to learn their lines so quickly? Barring photographic memory, their trick is often speedy, spotless comprehension. Whether you're an emergency replacement, dealing with surprise Shakespeare cold reads, cramming for a 24-hr callback, or walking into new show's first preview with five fresh pages of dialogue and an additional song, this workshop will offer a process to break down the text so you can advance from rote memorizer to rolling with the (word) punches.
Movement for Actors with Will Clayton, Momix Dance Company— Wednesday, June 17th at 7 pm
Multi-disciplinarian Will Clayton brings his warmup for actors that progresses into how to crate characters throught physicality, generating fully-embodied characters. Playing with multiple entrance points, helping you find your way of working, that includes textures, visualization, and experimentation.
Please wear clothing appropriate for movement, bring a refillable water bottle, but most important– your sense of play!
