Come Play and Explore at CTX 2025!
Single Sessions workshops are open to any and all 18+ folks regardless of experience. Come and play! Please wear clothing appropriate for movement, a refillable water bottle, and your sense of play.
All Single Sessions are held in the auditorium of The Thomas S. Perakos Arts and Community Center at The Frederick Gunn School, 22 Kirby Road, Washington, CT 06793. Parking is available in the upper lot; if GPS takes you directly to the front of the building, we will redirect you to the parking lot upon arrival.
Please wear clothing appropriate for movement, bring a refillable water bottle, but most important– your sense of play!
Crown Your Clown with Joz Vammer —Tuesday, June 10th at 7 pm
Joz is back with new shenanigans! An open-level return to pure play and laughter. Communal joy and wonder have necessary healing and empathetic effects on each of us. Come get back to the fearless little leader inside who remembers where your joy is, so you can share it with others.
Move LOUD with Jason Paul Tate — Thursday, June 12th at 7 pm
A class on dynamics in movement. Scaling various emotional contexts for different performance mediums, taking inspiration from the RASAboxes practice.
Pilobolus @ Play with Emily Kent — Friday, June 13th at 7 pm
The core values of Pilobolus are creativity, collaboration and communication. This workshop welcomes all to experience Pilobolus’s creative process. In this class, Pilobolus Teaching Artists help participants discover their unique artistic voice, and learn how to work with others to create original material collaboratively. The class will consist of an improvisational warmup, movement-based problem solving, partnering techniques and group dance making. This class is playful, group-driven, physically challenging and fun. No previous dance experience necessary.
